This 10-day expedition takes you across the full Himalayan loop, beginning from Shimla and looping through Kinnaur, Spiti, Kunzum Pass, and Manali. Stop at ancient monasteries, cross remote villages perched at extreme altitudes, and challenge yourself on winding roads carved into raw mountain walls. From the peaceful valleys of Sangla and Kalpa to the surreal beauty of Kaza and the shimmering blues of Chandratal, this journey is designed for passionate riders who crave adventure, solitude, and the untamed spirit of the Himalayas.

    A Journey Designed for Unforgettable Memories

    Day 1: Shimla: Arrival & Briefing

    Arrive in Delhi or Chandigarh and drive to Shimla. Check in and meet your ride captain and fellow bikers for a short briefing and bike inspection. Spend the evening exploring Mall Road or resting for the adventure ahead.
    Overnight stay in Shimla.

    Start your ride through Kufri, Narkanda, and Rampur — a route filled with sweeping bends, pine forests, and river crossings. As you enter Kinnaur, the landscapes turn rugged and dramatic. Reach Sangla by evening and relax by the Baspa River. Overnight stay in Sangla.
    After breakfast, ride towards Chitkul, the final inhabited village before the Indo-Tibetan border. The trail takes you through pine woods and alongside the gurgling Baspa River. Explore the village, soak in the pristine views, and return to Sangla by afternoon. Overnight stay in Sangla.
    Gear up for a higher ascent today. Ride past Karcham and Pooh, then stop at Nako — a picturesque village surrounding a calm mountain lake. Continue to Giu to see the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk. By evening, reach Tabo, home to one of the Himalayas’ oldest monasteries. Overnight stay in Tabo.
    Start the day with a visit to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the confluence of two rivers. Afterwards, ride to Kaza, the main town of Spiti Valley. Spend the rest of the day exploring cafés, walking around the market, or simply unwinding after the ride. Overnight stay in Kaza.
    Today is dedicated to Spiti’s iconic highlights. Visit Key Monastery, stop at Chicham Bridge (one of Asia’s highest suspension bridges), and ride to Kibber Village known for stone houses and snow leopard sightings. End your day at Langza, famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-filled slopes. Return to Kaza. Overnight stay in Kaza.
    Ride to Komic, among the world’s highest motorable villages, then descend to Hikkim to post a letter from one of the highest post offices on earth. Return to Kaza for a relaxed evening exploring local handicraft shops and cafés. Overnight stay in Kaza.
    Prepare for rugged terrain today. Ascend towards Kunzum Pass, stopping for soul-stirring views of the high mountains. If the road is open, continue to Chandratal Lake — a shimmering blue gem known as the Moon Lake — and camp near the lake (seasonal). If the route is closed, stay at Losar Village. Overnight stay at Chandratal (seasonal) or Losar.
    Begin your return ride toward Manali. Navigate water crossings at Batal, cross glaciers and rocky paths, and finally enter the lush Kullu Valley through the Atal Tunnel. Check in to your Manali hotel and celebrate completing one of the world’s most iconic bike routes. Overnight stay in Manali.
    After breakfast, bid farewell to the mountains and your riding crew. Begin the journey back to Delhi or Chandigarh with memories of thrilling roads, stark landscapes, and the unmatched freedom of riding through the Himalayas.
